Deacons

What is a Deacon?

  • A Deacon is one who executes the commands of another, esp. of a master, a servant, attendant, minister.
What is God's qualifications for a Deacon?

If God has called one to be a Deacon according to what God has spoken to His Shepperd (the Pastor) and in His word, his Deacon should possess the following (Acts 6:3):
  1. Good reputation
  2. Full of the Holy Spirit of God
  3. Full of wisdom
The prospective Deacon must also be a man of dignity. He should not be one who says one thing with one person another with another (with the intent to deceive). This prospective Deacon should not be addicted to wine nor should he be fond of dishonest gain (1 Timothy 3:8).

These are the qualifications for a Deacon; These are the qualifications for the word of God.
